Nerds

  • Mom: So I read in the paper today that there's some kind of virus or something that may hurt iPhones. Have you heard about it?
  • Me: Well...yeah. I've known about it for like a week.
  • Mom: Oh sorry, I forgot that anytime the world Apple is uttered your entire little nerd world on the internet freaks out and blogs about it for other nerds to read.
  • Me: Thanks Mom.

Writing Letters

People always make fun of me because I’m in a constant state of writing letters and emails to companies when they do something that bothers me. I’m not mean about it, but I totally milk the concept of customer service.

I got this skill from my mom. When I was younger, and even still to this day, she would write letters when she felt mistreated by a company. I remember one time I got a broken Pokeball from Burger King and a week later, I had all six collector edition Pokeballs.

My mom always said “See you mock me, but one day you’re gonna do it too!”.

I wrote a letter to jetBlue one time after my headset jack didn’t work and I didn’t get my bag of blue chips and I received a personal letter from the VP of Operations, a box of blue chips, and a $100 credit towards any flight.

Sure enough, here I am.

Last week, I got prematurely charged for my hosting account and three emails, one phone call and a support ticket later, I had a free domain name and a $50.00 credit to my account as well as a personal phone call from the CEO/Owner of my hosting company.

See you mock me, but one day you’re gonna do it too!

I’m Blogging A LOT Today

For some reason, I can’t stop writing things down. I’m SO bored and this week is really crawling by.

I’m so excited for Friday! It’s going to be an awesome day for so many reasons, especially the iPhone 3G release. Tomorrow I might go visit my grandparents in Dix Hills to get out of the house for a little.

My mom freaked out a little before, she does that from time to time and anyway, she was mean and slammed the door. I’m not sure what I did but it was related to the things I don’t do, like I forgot to take the garbage pale in or something. She has this tendency to notice things a normal person would just get mad on the spot and store them up.

For example, I had a spoon on my nightstand. I’m not sure why but for some reason I forgot to bring it down. So TWO WEEKS later, I forgot to do something she asked for college and after she finished being mad about that.. “AND THAT SPOON. IT’S BEEN SITTING HERE FOR…”. It’s kind of funny actually.

I’m trying to find some music that fits my mood, it’s kind of hard because I’m feeling a lot of things.
