About New York City’s Christmas Tree
I was just watching this thing on the news about the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. Apparently, this year the tree is a bit different than it has been in the past.
- LED Lit. The lights on the tree are high-efficiency LED lights that use only 30% of the power that a regular lightbulb or christmas tree light would use.
- Solar Powered. Those high-efficiency bulbs are powered entirely on the sun using nearby solar panels.
- Recyclable. When Christmas is over, the tree won’t be thrown out. It will be chopped up and used to build homes for Habitat for Humanity.
Talk about being an over-achiever. Way to make us all look bad, Christmas tree.
