My Magic Mouse finally arrived today. I’ve been hearing a lot of mixed reviews about it and was really worried that I was going to totally hate it. Like most (all) Apple products, the packaging was awesome and made me so happy. The mouse was encased in a plastic clear box that held it in place.

After unboxing it, I turned it on and it was quickly discovered by my Macbook. When I went to change the settings, I was startled to see none. I forgot that a software update had been released and after about two minutes of installing, I was up and running.

Look Mighty Mouse, I know you’re pissed that you’re being replaced by Magic Mouse but you don’t have to be a dick about it.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions from friends who can’t seem to figure out how to get Genius mixes working. Glad to see someone over at TUAW covered it before I could get a post out there about it.
If you’re having trouble updating your Genius information in iTunes 9, try this quick fix I worked out:
After that, it should work fine. This is just a temporary fix until the servers calm down a little bit from all the people trying to use them.
Absolutely love the new iTunes UI and improvements. As subtle as they are, they are really a big step forward. The new iTunes Store is sexy too.
It’s official! AT&T has finally announced that MMS (Picture/Multimedia Messaging) will be coming to the iPhone on September 25th!
On a personal note, Sept. 25th is my birthday so what a sweet present that will be!
This is crazy. It’s a 23 page review done by ArsTechnica that covers just about anything, everything and some stuff I never even heard about. Pretty good read though.

Well. This should be fun!
I’m still waiting for my Snow Leopard DVD. Apparently, because of all the craziness with move-in, Syracuse University has decided that they don’t want FedEx delivering packages on campus. So now I’m stuck and have to wait until Monday to get it and I better get some kind of candy or special gift from Steve Jobs because this is unjust.
Really interesting blog post by Joe Hewitt. He goes on to say that the iPhone app approval process should be removed completely comparing it to the world wide web.
Yay! See you soon Snow Leopard!
Getting ready for Snow Leopard. Backing up my entire hard drive to a bootable disk image with SuperDuper! I used this when going to Leopard and it works so great with Migration Assistant. I was able to just simply check off what I wanted to transfer. I’ll be using this and/or my Time Machine backups to get all my important stuff over.
