See Ya Belkin

I’ve officially been welcomed into the world of 802.11N and the superb wireless networking of the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. I went to the Apple store today after having a terribly frustrating time with my vindictive and moody Belkin wireless router.

I was able to score a sweet educational discount by bringing my Syracuse ID with me and got the new router home, unpacked it from it’s cleverly packaged box and plugged it in. That was it. It connected, gives me total control from my computer and so much more.

It’s WICKED fast and I can now print wirelessly and even access my hard drive from anywhere in my network without having to be connected to a USB port. It’s going to be great for watching movies on my external hard drive, etc. What’s also cool is I registered the base station with MobileMe and I can now access my files and use Back to My Mac from anywhere in the world when I’m connected to the internet.
