My First E-Call
Lately, I’ve been training as an EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatcher) through SUA. It involves “shadowing” a trainer, and answering the phones, using the radio, maintaining the dispatch console and computer (all under the watchful eye of a trainer or supervisor).

Iced Tea
I went to the vending machine yesterday to get a soda and there was a (perfectly sealed) bottle of iced tea just sitting next to the machine on the floor. I grabbed it, and ran away like I stole something. Later, after indulging in one of the most delicious Brisk Iced Teas ever, I felt guilty. Some poor schmo that forgot his $1.75 drink on the floor is probably missing his tea.

Passenger Lands Plane After Pilot Dies →
This is a pretty crazy story - and one I’ve dreamed would happen to me (in some sick way, I want to land a plane in an emergency to show people how useful Microsoft Flight Simulator is). Anyway, a passenger landed this multi-engine plane in Miami under the excellent control of Miami’s ATC. Great story - audio clip included.

iPhone Dumbness

It really bothers me when professional websites have spelling errors - especially when the site is small and relatively simple. I came across this when checking out Eleven2’s new spin-off server website called 180Servers.
